David Cerullo Builds $4M Home While Staff Suffers Layoffs

Yep, another one of those fleecing the flock moments. This Report from USA Today.

“A religious broadcaster is building a $4 million home in a gated, lakefront community in western South Carolina at the same time that the ministry has cut jobs and reset thermostats in its new headquarters.”

You gotta read this story people. This ministry is expected to reach revenue of 100 MILLION! Not only have Inspiration Networks laid off workers but they froze wages and canceled contributions to employee 401k’s.

“If they’ve got these kinds of assets, does the state really need to offer … tax breaks?” asked Don Weaver, president of the S.C. Association of Taxpayers.

That’s a good question Don Weaver. I am all for the tax exempt status to be withdrawn from non-profits.

CEO David Cerullo’s new house includes more than 9,000 heated square feet, along with a 2,000-square-foot screened porch . . . And it’s shaping up to be one of the priciest houses in western South Carolina. On Realtor.com, just two homes in the greater Greenville area are on the market for more than $4 million.

Get the flock out of here…

  2. Joe weathers says:

These type of ministries are scams, just like Elevation church out or charlotte,nc. The Bible warns us of these type of people, they speak the words of Christ but are not of Christ. Even satan knows the word of God but satan is evil. These type of so call Leaders lift their own self up and live lavish life styles while others stare and are homeless.

Dis David Cerullo is gonna get his “tithe” someday in the back of a dark alley. It’s gonna be in the form of Karma…. What comes around goes around Mr. “C”.

why why why are people so stupid to be sucked in to giving money to these thieving bastards…….maybe start using your own minds???? forget about jesus and god for a minute and do a bit of thinking for yourself …then if you want to make these morons richer send all your money to them

    • Jen says:

Because he teaches that we must sow seeds daily, and that if we are ill or poor, it’s because we are not giving enough. They believe that if they follow this guy, and give him enough money, they’ll be healed of poverty, cancer, diabetes, etc.
Well, I was born with a birth defect. At one point, I thought my life was over! But I was wrong. God aligned me with all the right people, and I credit God with taking my disability and allowing me to adopt and raise my daughter.
I’m sorry, but we’re all going to die. If Cerullo truly believed what he preaches, why lay off people? After all, people just throw money at him based on his faith, so does that make sense? He claims to have been very good friends with Oral Roberts, but that guy died. Is that because he didn’t have enough faith? Or is it because this is a natural world, and God allows us to suffer and learn in this world, so we’ll be ready for the next?

Dear, you are blind and being robbed. Question, you write these people a check what are they going to do? Bury it? No it goes in their bank account. God doesn’t expect anything from anyone that can’t give. He is a kind loving God not greedy and that is what Cerullo, Murdoch and Todd what’s his name is about and that is about making themselves richer. Wake up and smelll the roses.

    • Brenda Johnson says:

He is another Mike Murdoch, stealing from people while Murdoch brags about his cars, about his money. These 2 will burn in hell for what they have done

  5. Chris Hensel says:

Mike Murdock Is David Currello’s pim and David Currello is a whore. Anyone who buys into obscure biblical passages to put $1000 toilets in these thieves homes should be detained until they understand what a charlatan is. Stealing is one of the commandments.

  6. John Davis says:

There are approximately 17K children a day losing their lives due to starvation. I’m sure that knowing that Mr Cerullo has his 4M mansion is source of comport for these kids as they take their final breaths….

    • Jen says:

Maybe he should sell that 4 million dollar mansion and sew a 4 million dollar seed to those starving children!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been steadily searching online reading about different churches and praying God will help me find a great church home and pastor. After reading these comments I know now this one is not for me. It is so hard to find a great church. I have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out the name of the big church near Indianland because an employer took our small team there to meet and have prayer (she was starting a new business) and wanted us all to go to have coffee and talk about our team and then pray. We walked out into the garden and it was beautiful. The coffee shop was amazing and I literally thought this would be a great church to attend. I thought services were held there. Thank you brothers and sisters for showing me a big mistake I would have made going or watching the broadcast. I am amazed and know in my heart the Lord would not like these things happening at this ministry. Oh well, back to searching and would love any suggestions about a great church home to settle down in (Charlotte area). I think for now I will worship in my home and watch Billy Graham sermons and The Way of the Master to learn about God’s love. The Way of the Master with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort is so great teaching about Gods love and the Gospel. Has become my weekly Bible study program. I’m so disappointed I can’t find a good church that doesn’t beg for money or preach the incorrect way of the Lord. Everyone please pray for me on this. I’m going through a tough time with my job and finances…but I know the Lord is always by my side and I will always have faith in Jesus. I hope everyone has a blessed week!

Hello I don’t know you but it’s not a good idea to Worship in your home I mean I know you really want to worship God and I do too but I know it’s very important for us to go out in a ton of good church I know that you don’t want to put your money into did well and I kind of suffer from that as well always putting my money into the church where I’m not being able to reap the blessings but I finally did get a blessing from my pastor here in Lexington Kentucky my electric was out he got it turned back on so I can say my past and loves me enough to step out for me I know you want to work for the Lord I know you have a drive and desire to do that but I do and I would love to help you find a Church Home Care in Charlotte I don’t think they allow you to contact me to this website but if you want me to help you just respond to my message and you be bless I know by giving my tithes and believing God I can be a blessing to others

    • Joe says:

Hello I don’t know you but I don’t judge you. It’s hard visiting local churches and sometimes wasting your Sunday, when they turn out to not align with what your scripture teaches. Especially if you’re going by yourself. I haven’t found a good one near me and though I believe it’d be beneficial I do get tired of being judged for not just attending a bad church. Keep your faith, God is good, and He’s nowhere near as judgmental as many so called believers can be. Keep the faith, and keep trying as long as you can, but God won’t fore sake you if you can’t find a place to go on Sunday. I know this from experience.

    • Brenda Johnson says:

My mom was very much the southern baptist and believed in the old ways. She always attended church but as she got older she wasn’t able to. She said that she didn’t have to be in church to pray and God heard her wherever she was. Don’t search so hard because God will lead you to the right place.

  8. SRW says:

You nay sayers should be ashamed of yourselves! Do not hurt the anointed of God! You will receive God’s judgement! And who says God’s people shouldn’t prosper? We are the inheritor’s of God in Christ Jesus and God owns the cattle on a thousand hills! You negative people who have nothing better to do than talk trash about God’s people need to shut your lying lips! God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him not seek trash talk!

    • Joe says:

Well then send your money to this wolf in sheeps clothing! If you took time to read God’s word for yourself you’d be very clear that he’s a false prophet, but like so many people, you want the Word read to you and will believe anyone who speaks a little truth mixed with big lies. Which is exactly how satan goes about keeping people away from the truth. You want money more than truth, so go sow your seed. For you, money in this life is far more important than eternal life, so try it, see how it works. Send this guy your hard earned money and ignore the haters!

    • Brenda says:

I will wait on God and not the anointed because the Ten Commandments says Thou shall not steal and that’s what these jerks are doing. They are about anointed as my dog.
