Paula White Scandal

by Jared Brian

Paula White

It’s not enough that people have to give the first fruit of their tithe, which is a scandal. Now Paula White is saying that a separate first fruit offering should be given. I’ve got a mouthful that i want to say. Here’s the difference between first fruits, tithes, and offerings. Where else could i begin with this mess? This is the typical TBN, Paula White scandal to get more money and fatten these theives. What more could Paula White want? If anyone else wants to fall for this Paula White scandal, be my guest. It’s just tempting me to come up with a good scheme to get everybody, to make me rich.

I am with you on this my brother. The thing that worries me is that the institutionalists who are running things Christian media wise and the denominational leaders will look upon us as trouble makers and fringe types…and many people who have been brain washed into the system will not allow themselves to think other than the way that they have been taught.

What is so frustrating is seeing Paula with Larry Hutch who hawks all kinds of Jewish roots wares on television; and the two of them sound so rational and so educated as though they have a revelation that nobody but them has received and you need to listen to their revelations as they try to explain them to the uneducated masses concerning the idea of firstfruits giving. If you don’t understand what you are hearing send your money anyway and let God work out the details for you. These people would make A.A.Allen blush.

    Keep on writing.

It seems some people will just bend the Word of God up to fit them. If one would simple read the Bible and allow the Word of God to teach them, they will come into truth. It is sad the many can’t see that money is not on of the things that could be tithe, or given as first fruits. Man now wants to say it’s money. Also Gentiles did not tithe. The Bible gives clear direction on tithing.

Lev 27:30 And all the tithe of the LAND, [whether] of the SEED of the land, [or] of the FRUIT of the tree, [is] the LORD’S: [it is] holy unto the LORD. Lev 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the HERD, or of the FLOCK, [even] of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD. Yes, they had other sources of income, but the tithe could only be what the law said. Also notice Lev 27:34 These [are] the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. Tithes were given to the Nation of Israel.

    Great Blessings,
    Marvin

This is just one of her teachings that really bothers me. What bothers me more is every year for the past two years she has taught the Day of Atonement during that time period. That we have to follow the OT law of Day of Atonement. I kid you not. What, I thought Jesus abolished ALL of the law, especially that. Otherwise, what did he come here for.

Jesus didn’t abolish the Law, He fulfilled it. But you are right in stating that the Day of Atonement was already fulfilled. But many are teaching that the Fall Festivals have not been fulfilled yet – yet He atoned for all our sins already. go figure.

Don’t worry, GOD HIMSELF knows all and HE will catch up with those evil workers of inequity! Remember Apostle Paul? But GOD IS FAIR and HE MUST give them a chance to repent first!!! THAT is why Jesus died on the cross for our sins, to give us a chance to repent! PRAY THAT THEY REPENT!!! GOD DOESN’T WANT TO LOSE EVEN ONE!!! And you can understand why………..Eternal hell is going to be awful!!! And you wouldn’t want even your WORST enemy to go there!!!! I mean it!!! Pray for these people that they turn from their wicked ways and God will heal their land………………and OURS!!! USofA!!!!

I don’t want to be judged by God for judging these Pastors. In the bible it say “know the spirt by the spirit”. How would I know the spirt if it doesn’t dwell in me? How will I know the teaching of God if I do not read my bible? How will I understand what I am reading if I don’t ask God for understanding? I believe that with the Spirit of God / Holy Ghost living in you, you listen to that spirit. You let the Holy Ghost lead you in what you should do and not do. I believe the Pastor are there to teach you the word of God but it is up to you to determine what God wants you to do. I listen to alot of these Pastors and they teach my alot of things that I did not know. I thank them for this, but if my spirit does not agree with what they say then I don’t listen. If God doesn’t reveal to me in my spirit that I need to send money then I don’t send it, its as simple as that. Thats why it is very important to have the spirit of God dewelling in to and these christians won’t feel as if they are being cheated out of their money. We are all only human and we all have faults. What comes out of our mouthes may or may not be the truth, but God will be the ultimate decision maker.

Amen to that! Good thoughts on the subject, If you listen to the still small voice you will ultimately know what to do and what to listen to.I learn from them too but the Holy Spirit stirrs up in me when something is a little off. Thanks for your words.

Yes! My sentiments as well. I only do what God tells me to do and I believe that tithes and offerings should go to my local church. I believe she is a woman of God, but has made mistakes in some of her teachings (intentionally or not is between her and God) I will add that I was blessed by a message Paula preached 2 years ago. It blessed my socks off and I knew It was God! God uses her and also extends the opportunity to repent at the same time…I pray that God will bring someone along that will give her a word of correction and that she is open to it and receives it.

One is never condemned for opposing or judging doctrine, so fear of criticism should be taken off of every believer’s list of things to fear.

I don’t know her motives, but I know that the doctrine enriches her ministry. That is not judgmentalism!

i think she needs to get back on her kness and beg for mercy and direction because somewhere along her ministry she has picked up an idol (money) and tossed her heavenly vision aside. i feel she ought to be prayed for.

If you would read 2nd Corinthians 9 verse 7 where it says Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion (or out of necessity, guilt, pressure)for God loves a cheerful giver. Ask the Holy Spirit where he wants it to go, and wait on him for the answer. And yes we should ask him also to give us the revelation and understanding of the Word of God. Don’t just listen to what they have to say without verifying it in the Word. Don’t be so quick to condemn. Giving of out tithe and seed is giving for the gospels sake, because let’s face it that’s the only thing we can take to heaven with us.

Hello children of the most high.
when you give tithe you have given it to God. of course it wont go to heaven but it will be used by men and women of God in the ministry. If you give money and want to make a budget for the pastor, then you haven’t given God but you have just put it the basket. There are so many expenses in these ministries. Let us not control men and women of God who spend sleepless nights praying for us. Go on great woman of God we love you lots.

WOW! I am seeing a whole lot of lawless jargon here people unregenerated minds yelling about not being under the law and Jesus abolished the law. Paganism is what it is. MAlachi is quite clear. There is no church just Israel, and when peopl who are not of ephraim or judah realize they have “received the adoption as sons” are part of Israel and have one God One Torah and One land, oh what a day it will be. Look first at yourselves before slinging mud. Some teaching is good and some isnt, my plate is full, I have seen here speak, but come on people. read the book before you go around talking about people. Gossip and slander is sin.

I am reading these comments and I dont normally write on any of these things , but I feel in my heart that I should stand up for what I believe. The tithes Are The Lords ,would you rob God in your tithes and offerings, thats Gods word not mine. It is used for Gods work. The people He chooses to be over that will be the one held accountable for what it is used for. You surely dont have to send money to anyone, but as for myself I choose to let God choose who I send money to. There have always been people quick to judge when it comes to parting with their money and I know there will always be, but if you are giving for the purpose of God’s bussiness, then you are doing what you should be doing. After it has left your hands God watches His money very carefully and if there is wrong doing it WILL come to light. I love these pastors and preachers who have the courage to speak out in these times and have not found them to be corupt just trying to explain why it is right, because there have been so many lies straight from satan about giving to God, so don’t judge lest ye be judged for by whitch measure you judge so shall ye be judged!!!!

Malachi speaks of two things (1) tithe and (2) offerings: Malachi = old testament law fulfilled in Jesus’ death; tithe = strictly agro-porducts; offerings = (burnt offerings, heave offerings, wave offerings, etc etc offerings); Money was available then but was not inteneded for paying tithe or any of the offerings as above, if it were, bible would have said so. Contributions should be made as they are necessary to let vulnerable (both educated and non educated) christians beware of the grevious wolves which we are admonished by the bible.

Ok, there King. You keep on explaining why the “law” is fulfilled and we don’t have to keep it. No, wait, why don’t you stop doing that heresy and start teaching people to be obedient, and adopt a lifestyle of circumcised in heart, not attaining but pursuing? That whole argument is garbage and anyone who really reads the text for face value will agree. In Matt 5:17-19, it says He did not come to abolish but to fulfill. In fulfilling it does He abolish it? The church is stuck in english linguistics because it is convenient. If we have no more instruction for life then we don’t have to worry about judgment do we?
Who are the grevious wolves? those who preach legalism (man’s commandment LIKE ‘not under the law’) Or those who know the WHOLE counsel of God is relevant? We are saved under messiah but what about lifestyle? Yes you can be wrong as prophets as a part of the religion that says we make it up as we go along. We don’t have to pat attention to teh commands regarding prophecy, it’s ok to be wrong some of the time… right? OR WRONG?!

Bob thanks responding. I am still convinced that when Christ died, He met the requirement of the Law and the prophets that came bf Him in Matt 5:17-19. As Chris stated below, about 613 of such Laws under Moses existed. What Jesus did was to satisfy these elements so that we don’t have to be going back to them one after the other (for if you fail any you fail all; i.e. you can’t choose one and leave others undone). We look up to Jesus in faith as our High Priest (you and I are priests). He did not leave us discouraged from helping one another in times of need; giving was part of His own ministry and He expects us to do same. He told the young rich ruler in Luke 18:18-23 (you, me and the preachers inclusive) to go sell all his riches and give it to the poor! We also are told what to do in 2Cor.9:7. Jesus finished His earthly ministry without owing an empire on earth, same with Peter, John, James, Paul, Barnabas, and the other apostles. They did not need any man made empire to get the work done. Because some of us want to create earthly empire in whatever form, we have to invent and justify any kind of avenue to raise the resources. Here it is, 1+1 we know is 2. But when you make it 5, you find yourself where you scramble for all possibilities to justify your 5. Yet the answer remains 2 simple.

Wolves was used in the bible for those same people that tell you and me to pay tithes and first fruits and will not tell us that the other elements of the Law should be observed, the different types of tithes, the intention of the tithes and what the tithes constitute. They will tell you and me that the scripture, from Genesis and Adam points to one factor: Jesus! And He finished His mission on the cross, yet, they will turn around to match us back to Adam via Moses and Abraham! Have you wondered why only those issues that have intention of personal enrichment are pulled out? Again Malachi 3:10 is what you can call an impact passage. Jesus or the apostles will not use that because they want you and me to give and do all out of faith and love. Tithe is not a gift or giving and cannot be done out of love and by faith. It is a mandatory payment which disregards the condition of your heart. God bless.

Tithe and offering is not a mandatory payment.  We have a choice if we want to pay tithe and offering.  Malachi tells us that we rob God when we do not give tithe and offering and we did not give tithe and offering, we are cursed with a cursed.  God give a promise in that scripture that he would open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessing  that we would not have room for it.  When we give tithe and offering, we do so because our faith in God.  Give tithes and offering is a sign of faith.  Faith without works are dead.  If we have the Holy Spirit in us then we will following all of God’s commandments.   We should not put our trust in man but in God.

Bring your tithes into the storehouse so that there will be food in God’s house. It is spiritual food. That is mandatory enough for me. I love the Lord and I don’t miss my 10% out of my check every month and if people do not respect or love God enough to pay their tithes then they should examine the relationship that they have with him.

Malachi 3 is not talking about spiritual food. it was not talking about having tithes so the priests could spiritually feed the people. It was talking about real food – bread and meat. Please read the bible and study it in context so you don’t distort scripture

    Bob

You are so deceived. You obviously have never read and understood Acts 15. You say that we should obey the ‘whole counsel of God’…quoting Paul…and then ignore the distinction between the New and the Old Covenants. The Old Covenant was given to ISRAEL only…read Deateronomy. There are about 40 scriptures in the which state that we in the New Covenant are NOT under the Law…the Law not being applicable to Gentiles, etc. Yet you choose only one aspect of the 613 Laws to continue…ie tithing…and this without a single New Testatment supporting scripture…contrary to the apostles teaching and practice.

Is there any possibility that this is because you too have your ‘snout in the trough’?….and are yourself a ‘covertous wolf’?

Note that the New covenant commenced at Pentecost…..when the Holy Spirit was given. The New covenant only happened after Jesus died. Heb 9:16

Titus 1:11 requires us to speak up and ‘silence the those of the ‘circumcison’…who are teaching things they ought not for filthy lucres sake’

This clearly refers to tithing, offerings, etc. The New Testament teaching is for FREEWILL giving ONLY

TITHEING IS NOT MONEY, WHE THE LEVI’S THE PRIEST OF THE TEMPLE TITHED, THEY GAVE A TENTH OF GRAIN, OIL AND THINGS LIKE THAT. THE JEWS TITHED TO THE TEMPLE AND FILLED THE STOREHOUSE, A REAL STOREHOUSE FOR MEAT AND OTHER FOODS. BUT WHEN THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED THEN THEIR WAS NO MORE TITHING, ASK A JEW TODAY. SO IF GOD LAYS ON YOUR HEART TO GIVE FIVE PERCENT, THEN GIVE IT! IF HE LAYS YOU TO GIVE FIFTY DOLLARS THE GIVE IT CHEERFULLY!!!!!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP THE TITHING LAW BECAUSE IT IS NO, MORE. WE DONT HAVE TO SACRIFICE A LAMB,SOME LAWS WERE ABOLISHED. BUT THE REST APPLY. BUT IT MUST BE DONE CHEERFULLY!!!! YOU CAN TITHE BUT DONT PUT IT AS A LAW OF GOD THEN YOOU ARE OUT OF ORDER!!!

Perhaps you are correct. Jesus died to bring into the family and then do away with that which identifies sin. You lack understanding. I am not what you say, you are talking about the Holy Spirit and then leveling an accusation? Interesting. No. Jesus did not die on the cross so we could eat bacon sandwiches. The words new and old are creations of men, as is the understanding that under the law means we ought not be lead by God’s teaching and instruction Genesis to Revelation. 40 scriptures? That is way over estimating. You need to understand context my friend.
It is not however an issue of salvation . It is amn issue of lack of understanding. People in churches everywhere do not teach the bible to their kids and people are falling away in great numbers. Yes but right we are “not under the law”. Go ahead. Keep on believing that is the case. Keep on ignoring what a cursory word study will bring to the table. You say not under the law like it means as if the law (Torah) is a bad thing. No my friend, I am not a ravenous wolf, those who teach and practice the doctrine of the NIcolatians are. He deals with it in Revelation.
