Charity in the United States: Who Cares?

Mint.com put out a nice infographic that demonstrates giving in the United States. Some notable things to point out:

• Americans give $300 billion to charities a year.
• public charities collect more than the federal government does in income taxes
• those who earn less than $20,000 give twice as much as those who earn $100,000
• religious people give more to secular causes than secular people do
