The Prosperity Bible

Prosperity Bible

I came across this Prosperity Bible on A little leaven. Here’s an excerpt from the editorial review on Amazon.com

“The Prosperity Bible is a one-of-a-kind resource that collects the greatest moneymaking secrets of authors from every field-religion, finance, philosophy, and self-help-and makes them available in an attractive, keepsake edition.”

I guess you can say that now there officially is a prosperity “gospel”.

Jared Bartholomew is the author of www.tithing.com. There are over 300 articles written on research and reviews about tithing information.

Shut Up and get real… people need God, he is the reward dnt u know… God is the prosperity, not cash. Get a grip! Do u think if u make loads of money then are able to do stuff that is a better witness than if u simple had the faith to trust God will provide our every.. money is just a trading item, God is better at gettin u wat u need than money. Infact the more money u have even through “prosperity” then the harder it will be for u to enter the kingdom…” Jesus said it himself and sent his chosen out without money or food or extra clothes… he will provide u.. but i guess u will never know wat God can do if u always rely on money to provide. Its such a shame!

Jesus’ own life adds eloquent testimony that the will of God does not always include material success. He grew up in an impoverished family.

During His years of travel, He told His disciples that He had nowhere

He had to perform a miracle in order to pay the two-drachma temple tax (Matt. 17:24-27).
At His death the Roman soldiers cast lots for His clothing, His only earthly possession (Luke 23:34).
He left behind no estate, having asked John the disciple to care for His mother (John 19:26-27).
Yet even in view of these circumstances, no one would dare suggest that God the Son was out of harmony with the will of God

THE BIBLE STATES THE WILL OF GOD FOR THE BELIEVER STRICTLY IN MORAL TERMS NOT ECONOMIC

The two New Testament passages that specifically state
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth … but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven….  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…. No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” (Matthew 6:19-21, 24)
“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s.” (1 Timothy 6:6-10)
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world – the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does – comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)
I know many Born Again Christians that love the Lord and serve Him whole heartedly.  They are by no means wealthy and some are actually poor by worldly standards but God provides all their needs and they are so blessed by Him.
